Serious pond, keep up the outstanding work!

Monsters on the way soon for the outstanding pond or what?

You're making me want to do exactly the same thing. XD If only I had the yard space. But noooooo, the neighbors somehow got the idea they're also entitled to equal amounts of property space despite the fact we have seniority here.

Also, you said you're getting a heater... aren't koi cold water?

For the winter maybe. Since it's above ground, the water temperature will probably fluctuate more during that time.

you are making me concider helping build one for my sister, she always wanted a pond, but as you say round winter time, hmm we have quite a few frosts and cold snaps here in the winter, with it being above ground like that do you think it will freeze that much easier?

looks great

what is so fantastic is that you made it moveable when you built it.. that is so impressive... wonderful pond Ben..your good..:headbang2:headbang2:D

Well...I'm in SoCal and the pond hasn't gone through a winter yet. When I used to live at my old place, the ceramic jug that I have water plants in it would slightly freeze over (still water). However, if I were to keep the water circulating, I don't think it would freeze over here. I've heard that above ground has more of a chance to freeze over than normal ponds.
