In line setup for mag drive

Who has run a mag-drive in line? Anything special I need to know. I am going to be running one on my 450 gallon stock tank. There is a threaded fitting towards the bottom and I would like to hook it up to that instead of having the pump inside the tank.

I use quit 1 one pumps for my in line setups there not as loud

I use little giants, but I assum the setup for a magdrive is the same...just thread a fitting into the intake and make sure it never goes dry.

Where did you see that. It says on the box they can be used as submersible or inline.

That's marinedepot.com saying that, not Danner.

I can't find much on the Danner site, but it does say submerged or inline.

I wonder what marinedepot has against using them inline?
Too many returns from people installing them wrong for inline use and trying to run them dry?
