There's no algae growing on the glass, but there's certain nooks and crannies in my driftwood that my pleco cant get to that has it growing at times.

Keep in mind, UV does not stop algae from growing on surfaces. Good for bacteria, parasite and water clarity.
Ideally, you want a dose of about 50 mJ.
Okay...fx5 pushing 924 gph will get you a dose of 10.7 mJ. However, you are turning 4x the tank vol so you're about 44 mJ. Not bad. I don't know how you came up with 924 gph but if you take into account head loss and flow slowdown due to clogging of the filter you will be within the 50 mJ range.

i just looked online to get that number lol, probably not too smart on my part. So should i get the wave 25 and how much could you sell me one for?
