Wow. These are some great ideas in here. Bump for a fun-to-watch thread.

Those stacked bricks make me really nervous, man. Are they glued together or have posts inside them or something?

Sorry for the lost fish. Never a good thing. At least the nitrAte mystery is solved...

How tall is that other tube anyway? Both were 60"? Might trade for it or $ if it's reasonable. I think it would look awesome in the Oscar tank packed full of driftwood and raphaels like a catfish sausage.

The bottom bricks are glued together and to the garage floor, they are the solid 8x4x16 bricks from Home Depot. Before I add that top tank like I had spoke of I will be gluing the rest, and I'll also be thinking about making the bricks set on top of each other, instead of the current partial stagger, it'll just cost me another 2x6, no biggy.

I am getting that varmint trap from my brother in law, the same owner of that other tube...It is not sealed on the bottom like this one was, BTW. It might work like your beta tube you have in the fish room.
