in need of some silver aro advice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Several females have laid eggs in tanks.

I have had breeding behaviour in tank.

But to actually have them breeding, not one case i mnow of, outside of big ponds.

I just purchased a dark rubbermaid and am also adding a pleco and about 5 large apple snails hoping this will help with cleanup, maybe a dark rubbermaid where they are not able to see nothing but up will reduce stress, any tips?

Thanks and yes im as i stated before well aware of their potential size, i will be constructing an indoor pond for my group. The rubbermaid is clear, maybe a darker rubbermaid where the fish can see only up will cause them to be less stressed? None of the fish fight what so ever. Thanks for helping me guys! :)

you also asked how fast they grow, just answering your question. I do have a 150g rubbermaid that you can borrow. I am up in Thornton. Send me a PM if interested.

Lets not exagerate. Op mentioned 2 weeks.

No way are you going to breed silvers in a tank. Only one story i heard of the sort, in Vietnam, and i do not believe it.
Who me? I'm not exaggerating, the aro, some if not all are stressed, two of them have already gone for 4 weeks without eating. The two not eating show signs of being victims of aggression(probably why they are not eating). IMO in those conditions he's possibly gonna loose a couple. If not to anything else probably to jumping out.

Pictures? Why not just go to Walmart or target and buy a plastic pool or something?
