IN SHOCK AT EEL

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My friends tire track eel chocked and died trying to eat a black ghost knife fish. He found the bgk half swallowed and the eel went all stiff and was standing on the end of its tail.

I've got a Black Ghost Knife in the tank with it ........ their the same size though! luckily :grinno:

My old eel bit into the back fin of my Pleco and I guess its teeth must have got stuck in its back. When I found the Eel it looked like it had been beaten to death. My little brother said "That one snake looking fish bit that gray looking fish then the gray looking fish started to ram into all the decorations till the snake looking fish stoped fighting back" He was like 9 when he said that.

Well, I did fear the death of my American Eel once, but it survived. What happened was I was feeding the crabs and the eel with some frozen mackerel that I cut up. So I gave the eel all soft meat, but I gave one of the cabs a peice of meat with a vertabrae in it. So, being the theft that he is, he stole the crab's peice and had the vertabrae stuck in his throat for about 4 or 5 days. He kept opening his mouth wide and rolling, and everytime I could see the bone in his mouth. The eel was only about 9 or 10 inches, and the bone was about the size of a pencil earaser. Eventually he spit it out and I found the bone laying at the bottom of the tank, so I removed it.

I've had ceptopsis (6") Blue shark, eat a lazor cory before. He laid on his side with a bloated gut for a couple days, pooped out the remaining bones and didn't make no never mind. Was kinda pissed he ate a $10 fish though.

I once had a very large tyre track eel and it tried to eat my BGK but instead it died because it choked on it!! Unfortunatly the BGK died as well.
