this is as far as i got today before i ran outta steam. upon second thought i will remove the stand to re-sheetrock the wall and then mount the stand. the stand is over 5' tall!

Thats seriously awesome. Thats almost the exact same thing I wanna do. I plan on doing a 180 in the basement/false wall with a bar in front of it.
