Inbreeding fish harmful?

Have you ever seen a dog ? Did you ever know that that dog did not exist until some guy created it with cross breeding ?

Dogs came from wolves, technically "Every" species of dog is inbreed.

Domestication and inbreeding are not the same thing.

You're right, but how did we get a poodle from a wolf? They bred dogs with the same desired traits, and most of the time, those dogs were related. This happens every time a new breed is "created." Eventually the family lines spread out and it is no longer a health concern. But fish are different. The problems associated with inbreeding are spread over far greater numbers of offspring. Cull the diseased, and keep the strong. This is how it has been done in the industry for years. Just that nobody talks about it.
