When I first started keeping fish about five years ago I had a 55 gallon with 1 convict 4-5 Gouramis 3-4 tiger barbs and a 6" shovel nose cat....that little convict single handidly ate the eyes out of every fish I had in the tank...in a matter of a week...the shovel nose was the last...I still have that same convict in my 125 gal with a 9" Tilapia Buttikoferi and a 9" Jaguar..true story...they don't mess with him...
I had a fire mouth with this complex (small fish complex). Most of my fish did not know what to do with him because he was too big to eat, so they just stayed away. I eventually found his match... a bluegill.
Huh, kinda dumb IMO. The fish is doing what it's genetically wired and programmed to do, and he tries to kill the fish for it. I wish i was close to this guy AND had room to give that fish a nice home...
