It depends I was able to get mine up to 7" in less than a year. It really depend on the tank and what and how often they eat.

haha...I did have some at 4-6" but Jeff and I both got some at quarter size from Rich and we got them to 6-7" in less than a year...

plus Uyen also raised a few when she was with me in socal and she got them to that size in my JDM tank haha...

it can be done but it depends on how they are kept (i.e. frequency of water changes, tank size, and food).
