Hey guys im getting my new indo pacific tarpon today. Has anyone ever kept them. Can anyone give care guide plese. Thanx

Well I know someone who kept One in a 1500 gallon tank it's well over two feet. But deffinately a little under 3 foot.. But usually more commonly seen at around 18-24ish inches. Basic care just feed them raw tilapia shrimp etc the usual for large predatory fish. If you could get it on Massivore that would be great. Or you can also feed whole smelt. I would say bare minimum 6x3x2 but others may say a 240 is fine....but based on the size I have seen some a 6x3x2 would be better.

I had one that got around 17", ate krill, smelt, pellets and the occasional feeder goldfish. Pretty hardy, received a few puncture wounds from an army and recovered.

I have an Atlantic tarpon which is 16-18", very hardy fish. Eats almost anything now including pellets but took a long time to get it to take them. Absolutely loves earthworms.
