i covered mine with styrofoam for awhile andit helped. I cut a hole for the light and covered it with plexiglass. It kept alot of the moisture in and was easier to heat bujt i couldnt see the fish.

ya thats not what I want LOL I don't want a tub with water and fish just for the sake of their being water and fish in it LOL

I believe my wife would think divorce is too wimpy a punishment for me being me. Being Sicilian she'd have me killed slowly and painfully 1st.
I was able to get the tub into the stairway, but the ceiling stopped me just at the bottom of the stairs.
Being outside isn't bad, but I need to be very careful about what goes in.

These Nile tilapia went in at 1" in May surviving <50'F water temps, until this pic beginning of Oct.

Some Centrals didn't do so well, in a July cold nap the year before.
Gona try Gymnogeos this summer.

Hi Nutcase, how long you had those lucky bamboos in the water? I always assume they only survive 6months in water like that; Are u using them to reduce the nitrate? Thanks.

Unless the space is really small I don't see humidity bieng much of a problem. I tend to choose the pallette tanks over the rubbermaid tubs when ever possible. The shape is a lot easier to deal with and they have built in feet to raise them up to a more acceptable level. The size is roughly 4x4x2 usable feet. They cost about $160.00 new but can usually be found for half that used.
