Induced dwarfism in freshwater stingrays ??

I don 't mean to hijack here but it pertains to the topic in question. A friend of mine is a marine biologist, he specializes in Chondrichthys and mentioned that SW rays grow exponentially - meaning they never stop - however the amount that they grow may be minimal after a certain point. Does anyone know if this is a feature of FW rays as well?

Ime it's a feature of the majority of fish, reptiles, amphibians... Majority of cold blooded species, some more then others.

Interesting...I'm really not sure how to apply that knowledge but it's certainly food for thought when considering a ray for a 29gal...just sayin...

I don't think u should ever consider a ray for a 29g.... Ever....
Unless its a 3 inch pup. And then only for no more than a month or so
