Wailua Boy, right now you are being childish. Insulting me for what? over a disagreement on few things about breeding convicts.

Oh man. I just read through all of this and I don't remember where this agreement started.

Yup! I don't see any posts that would upset him anywhere in this thread.

You have been spouting off false sentence fragments for a while, all these posts are directed at you MN_Rebel MN_Rebel . When I have more time tomorrow I will point them out, if you like.

If you've got a point to make, back it up with links and proper evidence. That's the right way to do this. Otherwise, the staff is going to look at this as a personal attack and it could get you a free vacation from the site for a month.

EDIT-

I highly suggest that we should play nice. This situation has become volatile and could go very sour for some members very quickly if they choose to get dumb.

to be fair, its not really difficult to breeding convicts and they didn't need any special requirements other than water and flakes. But in this situation, the OP just needs a bigger male or just grow out these smaller males or replace the dominant female with a smaller female.

Yah, there really wasn't much a reason to get into an argument, was there. XD Some people just can't help themselves with starting one tho.

Anways, I agree with ya. And since I really want to keep this female, I guess the answer is straight forward. :) Man sometimes I wish I lived in the US or Canada really. Getting any fish beyond the 4-5cm size is so friggin hard. >.<

Whatever a different female convict might be willing to accept, yours is refusing the smaller males. The options are separating the boys and feeding them well and encouraging faster growth or getting another male. I had an absolutely gorgeous female that wouldn't breed for me. I gave her to a friend and she apparently took up with a jewel cichlid and grew larger than the male convicts, so she might be a species that looks convict but isn't. Or she was just weird.

One of the things about cichlids is they're smart for fish and tend to have decided opinions on what they want in mates. If you can get another female and grow out the males, that might make the first female a bit more competitive in snagging a mate.
