i stand by poly fiber fill. 5lbs box cost about 18 bucks but will last more than 8 months, been about more than 4 months for me and i still have more than half of it left.

I used to run pads from Aquatic Ecosystems. Bought a pressure washer to spray myself in the face with fishpoop for hours on end to clean them too.

I'd highly suggest filter socks and wash them in the washing machine...... Doesn't get any easier then that. Throw away filtration is a waste in my opinion.

Yup. Filter socks > everything else.

Couldn't agree more, Easy and reusable. My wife doesn't know that I wash them in washer, YET!

I prefer the disposable filter pads, yeah costs a bit but if your keeping rays its barely a drop in the bucket. That bulk roll of filter pad I bought about 2 months ago and have used maybe 20% of it, comes out to what $12 a month to have something I can just toss out rather than have to wash.
