The Real Norcal
I maybe should have taken pictures during the creation process but this is a pond Ive been working on for about the last two weeks. Its not finished yet but someone was asking for pics so here they are.I need some sort of different rock for the lining that was just temporary.

The plants were pricey but other than that everything cost about $65 all together including tax.It is 6' long 3' wide and 2' deep not counting the shelf for plants.

12'x12' sheets of pvc plastic from the hardwood and vinyl flooring section in home depot: $13 each

2000 gph pump from harbor freight on sale for $30 with one year warranty.

other than that the costs were minimal mostly pot scrubbies for the filter box.

I like it.
I'd love to get a pond for my deck, but its noisy out there.

how thick is the PVC lining???

Honestly I have no idea....Thick enough that I felt safe making a pond out of it, though I have a tarp laid down under the plastic just in case.

Originally it would have been much more expensive as I had planned on buying a preformed pond and cutting a notch in the side to turn that into a waterfall/filter.

It doesn't have to last forever I would be surprised if I'm still living here in a year.....
