No. When does it stay hot at night? In the wild, when the sun comes up, it gets hot, when it goes down it gets cool. You do not need to keep this light on all the time. I advise against it because it is very unatural. Your animal needs its sleep to rest, if its kep up by this heat 24/7, it canot do so. 12h on, 12h is just fine.
