My 3 year old male stingray has not eaten in a few days and today I noticed the edge of his disc is a bit paler and almost looks like he has a fungal infection on the edge of his disc and the bottom of his tail. The pH of the tank has been steady at just under 7, temp stays between 77-79F, no ammonia or nitrites, and <10 nitrates. He hasn't been moving much today. Here are some pics. Please help!!!

How long has he been on that substrate? Looks pretty sharp / jagged. Could explain the edge of his disk / underside frayed up and him not moving much. Continued agitation would lead to infection and fungus.

The sand looks sharp to me also. What brand is it? You might want to add salt or some ray safe bacterial infection meds. Did.you.read Davids thread? Ill post a link.

I used Caribsea Torpedo Beach. I went ahead and treated for bacterial and fungal infections. I just hope he makes it. He isn't being that active and breathing heavy but doesn't seem to have any curl yet.
