Inflated, seasonal plastic swimming pool - is it safe for fish?

I want to have a big outdoor pond and was thinking of using those inflated or seasonal swimming pool selling at Walmart, and Sam's Club. Any one try that before? will the chemical harmful to the fish? how long did it last for you before something wrong happened? Please comment, share your experiences here. Thank you all
