Wolf fish are great on the hunt but dont put it with any sa or ca cichlids because they will destroy him in no time. Not so much aggressive as it is more tenacious on the hunt. I have mine in a tank with 2 tiger shovels and a pbjd had a loselle in with them but he nearly killed the wolf and jd with ease

40g fine with one ery ery but I wouldnt go smaller. I personally think the fish is happier with some dense plants , in my tank my ery ery always staying hidden in the planted part of the tank when not feeding. You might find the ery ery will ignore some community fish; mine hasnt attacked some black skirt tetra and neon tetra I tossed in his tank for food but instantly ate some tiger barbs I added). The above poster is right about Cichlids , they will not mix well with your wolf fish.
