doesnt need to be dependent appon them, just saying even once a month, the feeder u feed could have internal dease. ( also that stuff was made by jungle )

also i was just saying, make sure the water is 100% cycled.

If you're gonna feed them live food, don't feed them feeder goldfish. Just breed your own feeders.

davey do you kno how to breed commit goldfish? i want to!

First off, you have to dim the lights and then light some candles while Barry White plays in the background... No, I have no clue. I've never had goldfish and when I did, they just get ate within a couple days...:headbang2

Hello, i am intersted in keeping some red belly pirahnas but i have never had any pirahna before so i need some general information, such as diet, tank size, tank mates and any other useful info. thank you.
First thing is to cycle your tank...You can keep any numbers of pygos...its just information that gets past down. How many pygos are you planning on getting and what size? Your best bet is to probably go with acouple 1inchers(depending on tank size, of course). If you don't have a large enough tank go with a single serrasalmus species(best kept alone due to their fin nipping)...but anyways their diet should be a variety of white fish fillet(talipia, silverside, smelt etc.) also shrimp and pellets, these 2 diet can really bring the colors out of your Ps. Filteration wise, you want around 8x -10x turnover(really messy eaters), a canister and hob(emp400,penguin 350,ac110 etc.) would be great combination, Another thing pygos love is a powerhead, if your have a 4ft tank you can buy an ac70 and 5-6ft tanks an ac110 would be great. At juvenile stages reds are very cannibolistic so don't be disappointed if you loose acouple, your luck maybe you won't loose none at all. When aquascaping youo want to try your best and mimick the amazon with sand and driftwood. Sand can be purchase at home depot for less than $5 for a 50lb bag(make see to rinse, rinse and rinse) If you have more questions to ask, lets hear it...

i belive the tank cycled has already been dicussed:confused:

as for the sand, sometimes it contains cemmicals from what i understand. i would just spend the $ and get fine gravel made for aquariums, it doesnt cloud water when added it and it looks great also!

Realize that RBPs are not the mean, furious, monsters that most people believe they are portrayed to be. The are great fish, but a bit on the shy skittish side and not always very active.
