Info on Albino Tinfoil Barbs

In the wild these will get to around 14" and almost 3 lbs, so a bit smaller than a wild oscar. They love veggies but are pretty easy to feed most stuff (will take pellets, worms, any tiny fish you have handy, peas, lettuce) and off the surface, off the substate and every where in between.

They are very undemanding and one of my favs. Can't wait to get a pack of these. Are not shy at all.

They are shoalers, but from others posts, don't seem bad in smaller groups (like 2 or 3), that is do not seem to have much aggression towards each other.
 
Too bad you don't live closer, I'd give you these when they get some size and start to outgrow my space. I'll keep one, but the other five will have to go somewhere. They would make a good group for someone with a large setup.
 
They are quick growers and as for the size it depends on which species you get, red finned or regular (Altus or Schwanefeldi)

Both species make a really good robust dither, especially with cichlids. The more you have the more evenly they will distribute aggression to each other. I had one that was smaller than the others and it had part of its tail ripped off by another fish, he was slowly bullied to death. They are without a doubt my favourite dither fish. Affordable, interesting, robust and can liven up any tank. Good luck with your albino's and make sure you get some pictures
 
I tossed in a cube of frozen food this morning, took a minute for them to realize it was there. They came running like little piranhas and attacked the cube. I'll get some cucumbers when I get paid, they would probably like that. Cheap, too. Used to feed kale to uarus, maybe the tinfoils would go for that.
 
Can't get pics to load. Ok, I give up for now. I need better pictures than my phone can take. I'll use my good camera next time.
 
Dark substrate would have shown the tinfoil a little better, but I got tired of gravel some time ago. I'll try for better pics and hopefully get better at uploading. Still learning how to use my phone.
