biggest one ive ever caught was the length of my leg. an easy 3 ft fish. This was about 3 years ago. If would have known what i know now my name would be on the nc wildlife website for a state record. The state record for a bowfin in nc is 17 lbs and some change caught back in 97. Half this guys body was that easy.
