i have a 240 gallon coming soon and all his tank mates are half is size or bigger besides the pictus cats and the 3.8 pike so i think itll go well, id like a second opinion on the last post from i<3fish. thank you
You don't need a second opinion, all the fish you listed grow half the size of the shovelnose, most the fish you listed as a matter of fact grow like 1/10th the size of the shovelnose as far as length goes. If it's a TSN, it will grow like 4 feet long lol.

I have a 16-17 inch Royal Clown Knife and he is very shy and i have try to hand feed him nightcrawlers but no luck, he will eat them if i just throw them in... Good Luck trying to get him to eat of your hand

tiger shovel nose and red tail cats are swimming mouths. I'd be worried about anything smaller than 3/4 of their body length just to be safe. My friend had some clown loaches (about 8-10 inches long) missing and a super fat tiger shovel (~18inches)
If you miss a feeding then tankmates start to look awfully tasty.

I have never tried to hand feed mine because I am afraid of my pacu attacking me (that guy attacked my gravel vac and bit a hole in the tubing...jerk).

I agree completely with everything except that first hand experience has told me that you don't even need to miss a feeding for them to look at their too large to actually eat tankmate as food! I have come out to a 10" tinfoil barb 1/3 of the way down the hatch of a 18" TSNXRTC. Also, note that these guys grow to about 2 feet in 1 year. If you like your fish, you will need to separate them to spare them.
