Well, here a 3" specimen at my closest LFS (horrible prices in most cases) has them for 11.99$ a piece. I think you are getting ripped off if you buy them. Further more, you will need 5 at least. 5X60=300$. Ripoff

wow.i know they can get pricey when they get big being slow growers but around my area
i can get x3 3inchers for $10 an the 5-6 incher for $20-$30

lol my lfs has 2" at 12$, 4" at 99$, and 6-7" at 249$! The 2's aren't that outrageous since tons of people still buy them but the other ones are so much because they're in kind of a semi display so they try to discourage buying from there.
As everyone said 5" is pretty average sized.
And that price sounds pretty hight to me.

The price is too high, if you don't have any tankmates that could possibly eat them then I would buy smaller one's at Petco or Petsmart. Another place to look is on Craigslist.com in your city. Someone is always selling their tanks and some have clown loaches in them. I bought two of my loaches ("5 each) on craigslist for $12.50 each. Just have to be patient. Good luck.
