Inheriting unstocked massive pond. What to stock?

What about just a regular largemouth bass that was stocked in the bog?

Well, spring is here. Maybe I'll head down there soon and see what I can find in the LMB category. Maybe I'll get REEELY lucky and find an albino!

wow. tell you what, call the whitehouse and mention that you're toying with the idea of killing the president, but you would never do it.
I'm sure they won't bother to check you out, because doing it would be illegal.

do you really think if you had come on here and said you were looking for local native info for stocking your pond anyone would have said anything to you about non-natives escaping? no, it would have been said to the idiots suggesting putting weis cats in an open pond system.

just like what happened here.
 
If you can find a wild albino then props to you, good luck.

ive seen plenty of color morphs in wild fish that I would have LOVED to keep in a tank such as:

an LMB with a yellow stripe I caught in a creek
an all black LMB
a naturally albino either bullhead or channel cat (I didn't get a good look at the caudal fin)while diving (it wasn't stocked)
so yeah it's not just finding one it's also catching them:), be sure to carry a dipnet and/or seine whenever you go to a body if water incase you find something you like. After all a public lake is just another LFS for native keepers!

Okay, thanks. You are definitely contributing to this thread. Oh, wait, I guess you're not. And picking on which of several reasons that block me from getting I fish I can't have anyway is just a psychological way to soften the blow of reality. How do you not know this?

I don't know about softening reality because I deal with it, not try to hide from it. how can you not know how to do that?

I hope you find a nice albino largemouth :O

But wouldnt it be possible to just block of the stream feeding the pond with a wirefence? (I know nothing about ponds, i just though about it, when i saw a comment earlier in the thread suggesting it)

Like I said before, a wirefence do not prevent a fish escaping or the exotic pathogens spreading around and my experiences with working at the fish hatchery.

Oh my lord, give it a break. You are in general a very rude person. You attacked ME on one of my threads to! And this has NOTHING to do with the white house! That is one of the worst examples i have ever heard. Please "toy" with the idea of giving people your opinion nicely. When you post something in a rude manner it does not make people listen to you any more then if you posted it kindly stating your opinion- which you can do. We all have our own opinions and isn'tthat the point of a forum in the first place? To give our opinions?
