Hi,
Last night our 2 foot Silver Arowana flipped out and banged up her face. The room was dark and the tank's lights were out so we didn't see what happened we just heard it. She now has a few nicks in her face and jaw that will hopefully heal soon. Tonight we've noticed she isn't eating and is staying in one corner of the tank. She also seems scared of the other fish (which are all a LOT smaller than her). Anyone have any ideas of why this is? There is a 8" Jardini Arowana in the tank as well, but he doesn't appear to be bothering her. We've never had anything like this happen before. The water quality is very good, we change the water weekly. The tank is 180 gallons.

you can see right behind her eye there's a scrape.. no blood though.. there are a few more on the other side but she wasn't interested in getting her picture taken...

the damage is not that severe. it will heal by itself - just give her some time

we're going to try stress coat tomorrow... the main concern wasn't necessarily the injuries, but that she wouldn't come out of the corner and isn't eating... and is for some reason acting afraid of the other fish in the tank.... but maybe she's just stressed....

stress coat should be used with a water change.
do not expect to much from stress coat, just try to help with her external damage.
