  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a magnum 350

hikari cichlid large pellets.

about 5 a day.

while i was gone my neighbor fed it 9 a day and i noticed it was not at all active when i got back and it would not eat anymore. its better though with activity.

nice tank setup.. constant water change and salt would do the trick.. if you want, add a dose of melafix and a bucketful of patience.. lol

ok since the tank is five feet from me (in my room, its great to look at while in bed). i turned heaters to 83. from 80. i added salt. and i will add melafix once i pull the carbon out.

IIRC carbon won't remove melafix. I'll have to check it again, but I don't remember it stating that carbon must be removed. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm too tired and lazy to go look

hmm ok quick question on the bio wheel in the magnum 350 is the bio wheel suppose to be spinning.. or does not matter?

ok all instructions have been followed. Melafix has been added. bio wheel installed and carbon taken out. stress coat added to help him be happy. i added salt yesterday so i wont add any more than that.

BTW i finally got a name for him... HOBO.

He is a dirty, ugly, smelly fish who appears to be very tattered.

lol

his tank is nice and clean now. I absolutely love this fish, but they are pretty monstrous lol

hmm i hope i did not overwhelm him to much because now he is just chilling in the corner... thats is unusual for him. usually he swims around like a happy fish does. well i will keep a eye on him, it would suck to lose him

Is he banging himself up on the driftwood n such? Maybe try taking that out and giving him more soft plants so if he has a skittish fit he dont mess himself up...

I'm glad you decided to post here. Hope everything works out for you. :)

Btw I don't think your aro is ugly, I would say he's unique ;) Reminds me of a crowntail betta, lol.

You could try replacing the heaters. If he got worse when you turned them up there could be a heater problem.
