Injured gar

Well I put the gar down just a few minutes ago, he hadn't left the bottom of the tank in two days.still I second guess my decision

It wasn't easy, I thought about it long and hard, his health was deteriorating .along with the brolen back,I'm sure there were internal injuries as well, wasn't eating , not moving from the bottom the past 2 days.I had to put my feelings aside and do it for him.he will be greatly missed

Ya he was probably suffering, so it's for the best but is still sad.

Jags not fish friendly fish. best they have there own tank if paired. not as bad as dovii, but then dovii eat all other cichlids in the wild.

Sorry for your loss will , sometimes we have to make these decisions its hard but its the right ting to do , if there's no signs of improvement why watch it suffer a long horrible death , you've made the correct decision IMO you've thought about the fish not yourself
