I just noticed this on my Ctenopoma is it serious? right now he is just kinda pail but still swimming around and eating...

I know my red hook has been picking on him the last little while, and it has some decent sized teeth...

if so I will be having red hook for dinner... :FIREdevil

I wouldnt worry too much. I have one of those and they are really cool. If he is still eating and acting normal than it should be fine. My tiger shovelnose got a big gash on his head from a decoration and it healed up fine.

looks nasty but heal heal.... if if gets worse put him in a seprate tank with some meds

Was it seperated from the possible attacker?

nope because everything is peaceful now, the silver dat protects the Ctenopoma... he is the enforcer of the tank:ROFL:

scratch that... the red hook attacked again and has be disposed off....:swear::FIREdevil

it sux, but I like my preds more then him.

so I am down to:

3 Apollo Sharks (RH killed 2 of them as well I had 6)
1 Silver Dat
1 Leopard Ctenopoma
1 Temz PB
1 Common Pleco

in my 150gal... so I want to get some more Apollos or maybe some regular SD's which will be less aggressive...

Wow I didn't know RH's where agressive? Guess I'm lucky so far as I have 3 with the largest one right around 8" and so far no problems..GL

I think he was just an odd one because my others were good they actually got beat up by this one so I traded those 2 in, thinking that since he was buy him self now he would be fine.... but I was wrong though he was good for a while...
