Yeah 200gal is my recommendation for the group

Well he has an Armatus because I noticed the white edges on his fins from the tank side reflection, So since the Armatus can hit a little bigger than 3 ft, A 500g is recommended for life to keep both of those fish, An odoe by itself could possibly live in a 55g for life but an Armatus is another story.

Thanks Payara Man IMO I think Odoe should be in a minimum of 72"x18"x18" I know they're not very active but they are very flighty.

I think your other fish bit your pike. Melafix will heal it not to worry. Just watch both of them. But if u are lookinf 4 another african pike i have one 12-13in. 4 $100. I live in chicago suburbs.

you want your 12" Odoe to go in a 12" wide tank?
I'd still recommend to seperate him if you can.

Thanks for the info guys he is doing well now, doesn't seem infected and the opening already shrank. Do you guys think the scales will grow back?

Thanks for the offer. I may take you on. :D ... His better now. I will post new pics soon... it took over 2 weeks for the wound to start healing. I think my arowana jardini did the damage. They kept going at it with open and snapping jaws. I took the arowana out and thing normalized.

Looks just like a nasty gash he got from running into something or fighting with that payara or whatever else he has in the tank.

- I agree... The one I had was very skittish so anything can spook him
At any time, and he would just flip out hitting tank walls and driftwoods causing him to get some cut sometimes that's why I took all the decorations out( rocks and driftwoods) best of luck to ya!
