injured sunshine pleco pls help advise

So I finally after a week I make it back to my place in hoboken, NJ and feel beyond fortunate that my place never lost power and my tanks look great. Upon inspection of my all my stock I noticed that one of my two sunshine plecos has a very mangled pectoral fin. The tank is a 75g with two six inch sunshine plecos, a syndontis decorus (three inches), a 14 inche rope fish and four thin bar silver dollars. I think the wound looks more like she got her fin trapped under wood, but can't rule out an attack. Please take a look and let me know what you think. the bigger quesiton (I hope your guys are better then mine) is do you think there is some fungus starting to grow at the base of the fin? If so rummaging through my supplies I do have meds that contain malachite green and formaldeyde which treats fungus well. Any know if these guys have any overt sensitivity to these products? Also think a dip would work or treat the whole tank. (my quartine tank is right now in use bc I had to remove some of my other stock that was at work where we have no power). thankssunshine 1.jpgsunshine 2.jpg

Nasty looking wound, that I doubt was the result of getting trapped under some wood.

I can't see any signs of fungus in those pics, for now I would simply keep the water extra clean & add a bit of salt to the water.
 
Def not from being trapped or whatever... My guess is something ripped into it because they were hingry pr somethin... I notice when i go a while without feeding my fish seem more angry n i can see fin nips but when i keep fed they leave eachother along

Thanks for the input. Not sure which fish would have caused big injury. My fish are normally well fed. Think Sandy disrupted the routine of a lot of us over the last week and probably the weeks to come. Will keep you guys updated. I need to post pictures

Idk much about rope fish but could it be him because it doesnt lookin like normal picking it looked like one fish took a chunk out all at once

Salt and clean water is the easiest approach. But have a fungus treatment on hand just in case. If you have a UV get it going on that tank. It will help keep the water clean. Good luck
 
looks much worse today - so out of the 75g and into the hospital bucket. hope she does well. took me a long time to acquire her.
 
not sure if you can tell the difference in the picture but has progressed and had a fungus growth on the fin dorsally. I shouldn't have to "live" near work this week so we will see what happens. Need to pick up a 10g for her tomorrow.

just wanted to let everyone know that PJ from fish emporium in Hoboken (which got really hurt by Sandy) came in from JC to get me a 10g and aquaclear so I could use it as a hospital tank. Pls if you are from NJ and are ever in the area once Hoboken is up and running again pls check out his shop. He truly went out of his way to do me this favor.
