My Jardinii jumped into my glass lid and has got a gash on it's side and has lost at least one scale - I've added salt, using an antibacterial/antifungal treatment (can't remeber it's name atm - not melafix).

How long do open wounds take to heal and will it leave a scar?
It swelled up a bit after this photo was taken - it also went kind of white and puffy (Jar is approx. 8 inch)

So sorry to hear about your loss, open wounds and sores are open to all sorts of infections and parasites which exist in small populations around the tank, once the fish has injured itself the protective layer of mucous is damaged allowing these pests to infest the fish.

will the scales grow back b/c it happened to my aro too?
Yes, they should. Plenty of water changes will aid in healing.
