Is there an alert sound if temp is over and one for under the desired program setting?
Example :
Both heaters set at 80
Inkbird programmed at 78 above on & 84 off
Not too concerned on the low temp as room temperature is always above 75. I'd like peace of mind just in case one ofthe heater sticks and overeat.

As for the alarms, it has a high and a low temp alarm. If you set them, it will start beeping if the temp gets up to the high temp alarm or if it gets down to the low temp alarm. You can silence the alarm by pressing any button on the controller. You can change both the high and the low temp alarms.
The controller is rated for 1000W.
I love mine so far. I run one on my 220 to control two 300W heaters. I set my controller at 82 and the individual heater thermostats at 86, so the controller turns the heaters on and off. I also run one on my son's ten gallon glofish tank (because we had a mishap with the last heater and all his fish got cooked). The one on my son's tank is set up differently. I set the heater to 81 and then set the controller at 85, so the heater controls itself, but the controller will shut it off if it gets stuck on.
Make sure you get the 308 model (also has an outlet for chilling, but I don't use it). I have heard of a few problems with the 306 model (heating only). It will come prewired in a nice compact package. You will have to use a splitter if you want to plug in more than one heater because it only has one heating outlet.
Last thing I want to mention, I have not heard of anybody having issues with the probe leaking like the Rancos sometimes do.

Im gonna ask a question for them.
Whats the point of buying a controller with 1 outlet for heating and having to add a splitter ? I would much rather use a controller designated for two heaters...unless im missing something

care to weight in...im pretty sure neither of you are using inkbirds but you guys do have a much better understanding than on this topic than i do
Lol, I have nothing against the Ranco except for the price. I think the prewired Rancos run a decent amount more, and are still rated at 1000W, if I'm not mistaken (I might be, lol). For me, it was mainly a price aspect, although I definitely like the nice compact look of the InkBird over the Ranco. Also, for those that don't have the ability/knowledge to wire up their own Ranco (if they get the non-prewired option) this is a very easy option to set up.
In short, the InkBird seems to have all of the same capabilities, maybe even more, at a much cheaper price. Even after buying a $5 splitter cord it is still much cheaper. It also looks better, in my opinion.

So piggybacking 2 heater into 1 inkbird plug. Thought it would have to be plugged in independently due to wattage load (500w for each) and duplicate the setting for hot and cold.

I still want to try one on another tank but need to understand more why the splitter is needed. Whats wrong with the 306 model ? So basically one outlet (chiller) isnt used and you run a splitter off of the one outlet (heat) to two heater ?
You bring up a good point thought..... one outlet with 600wats of heater.
