Hi I have some inkbird controller, i was wondering what is the most efficient way to set up the temperature range? Is it just to set the range for example just to go 26-27 or 24-27. So that the heaters are either on for short periods but more often or longer periods less often.

Kind Regards Andrew

Hi Andy. Between your choices, I would pic the greater range as the better choice, as the cycling of heaters on and off is what is said to be hard on them. With a greater range, there will be less cycling.

You can also run the inkbird in a different manner, whereby you let the heaters' own thermostat control the temp, and just have the heater set a couple of degrees higher as a failsafe, in case a heater gets stuck in the "on" position.....rather than have the inkbird control the on/off temps.

I have done both successfully.

I set the inbird so it's on up to 28C, and have it alarm over that. That way it switches off if the heater sticks on(Never happened) and it will send an alert to my phone.
