inline heater

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah basically, this is what it looks like with the cap removed

I just bought 2 hydor eth 300w in-line heaters for $50 each based on recommendations on a similar thread I started earlier this month. I'm hoping to hook them up this weekend since that is when my canisters are due for a cleaning. If you can use an existing heater use the pvc route described if you have o buy a heater(like me, I had fluval e 300) you're probably better off just buying the hydor

Good Idea with the compression fitting Jose.
Heck of alot easier than making one.
Now where have I seen that housing before ? :D j/k
i got the idea off another forum. i also saw yours too. thats what sparked my interest, then i found these neat little fittings. i didnt like the idea of having to grind down the compression fitting to make it fit! i ordered 3 of these just to have a few on hand :)

I've been wanting to build a similar DIY inline heater but never figured out how I would put the heater inside without having it leak. Now I know. Thanks!
