Hi all

I’m looking to move into the inline heater realm and I’m struggling to find anything to fit onto my Fluval FX6.

Anyone use it inline heaters on FX6, 5 or 4 ?

Struggling to find something to fit the 25mm tube

It's a problem. I changed the hoses on my Fluvals to work with the heaters.

I think the hoses I used are bigger. I also swapped out the intake and outflow attachments...used ones that worked with the smooth hoses better.

Ive found a Aquael V2 that now supports 25mm so ive got one on the way and ive ordered a few of the under tank short hoses from fluval which ill also use so im hoping for the best.

i do want to swap out the ribbed hose for straight aswell

I used inline heaters when I lived ina cold climate, and always had to adjust plumbing to use them. ( i used them in tandem with sumps.

One thing needed in all, was to place a check valve in the influent, to prevent them from from drying out, and burning up during power outages.
Back siphon can easily fry them, very quickly without a check valve holding water within the unit.
