Input for Geophagus Sveni

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No barbs, you both make sense.

I must say, I do see the limitation on a standard 125g aquarium being only 18" wide. While the male being about half the size of the width of the tank.

I put in a guppy while the tank was cycling. It had babies but the fx6 filter took care of them. Then the guppy had babies the second time but this time the tank isnt bare and the babies are growing. Turns out female guppies can store sperm for 6 months. The geos will not touch them and they don't go near the filter really. Its going to be fun fishing out a bunch of cull guppies out of a 6foot tank with 2 center braces. haha.

I'm considering adding 2 more full grown sveni to the tank. Ideally id love a pair and it doesn't look like the two I have are pairing off.

Beyond the tendancy to nip fins, (being a biotope aquarist, and That tiger barbs are Asian), the fish I would choose as tank mates, would be species the share the same water parameters and tributaties in Brazil.
Below is a list of dither type species (Characins and their relatives)that share the same rivers

Was this fish list found in the Epstein files and as a result it’s been heavily redacted by the US government, Lol?

duanes duanes

Yeah I see what you mean. They have a tough time turning around in a 125. We are taking some of these are over 9 inches.

I need to make a decision.
