Insane fish store prices

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh okay.....never heard that one before.:)

I think someone already beat you to the answer.

Here in South Africa, it seems to be completely backwards (not surprising lol). Our fish are dirt cheap compared to what I've seen on these forums, but our tanks/equipment/etc is hella pricey. Also most of our LFS get regular stock from Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, to name a few. I know we don't get a lot of USA native species tho

I thought my definition was more practical. But alas, you are correct, i have once again been beat to the punch and my wit rendered impotent. Woe is me.
.....and this too shall pass LOL!

No instead you have more stabbing related crimes, really I don't see that as an improvement.

And hasn't your government been talking about doing more exports on animals?
I do not believe our government would get more imports they don't want that stuff due to to possible threats to our indigenous wildlife. export is shipping livestock out.

I know they were talking about allowing exports of certain animals to allow them to monitor the amounts of animals currently leaving the country, there ban on exports make collecting extremely lucrative to poachers, with certain animals fetching big prices on the markets (a lace monitor could go for $20,000 each), this would also open the path to Import animals, at least if you understand how governments work

come to AUS where oscar (2 inches) $19.99, Jack Dempsey (2 inches) $20-25, Pictus Catfish (3 inches) $30- 40, Sengal bichir (3 inches) $399.99 and last of all silver arowana (any size) $600- 1500. do the math by converting
I am about to rain on your even more parade because the chain store near me sells small Senegal's for 10-13 us dollars, which is 13-16 australia dollars.
