Actually, poor people who are lured by the promise of a brighter future by farming expensive beef cut down the rainforest.

Poverty causes destruction of the rainforest.
If we could all agree to eat and enjoy iguana, we would never have this problem. Yields more meat than chicken, and you NEED the rainforest to farm them!
