I really love the idea, and if made properly I think they could be great, but these are horrible contraptions.
I have 3 of them, 1 FB300 and 2 FB900.
All of mine has these problems: The back-flow Valve does not work and they clog from sand filling the inlet if they stop uncontrolled, more so if the outlet is submerged. Although very annoying and proof enough that the filter really is a piece of s***, the worst thing is that the construction can not be trusted, the bottom plate seems to be glued halfheartedly, and because you need more preassure to run the FB900 the whole thing bulges and seems to be exploding at any time. I decided to throw them out when I got a leak in the bottom of one of them.
Now I run the FB300, the two FB900 sits in my garage, the only sane way to use them would be to put the whole thing on the inside of the tank so that WHEN it cracks up, it would not empty the tank on the floor.
