I was at my lfs and they had a pleco called an inspector pleco for sale.I was wondering what L number it was. I also don't have any pics but it had yellow dots on it. It cost about 50$ there to.

L-201 used to be called hypancistrus inspector and is now H. contradens. Now, the "black fin snowball" (L-102) is Hypancistrus inspector. Does the fish have a black edging on it's fins?
It is impossible to say whether is it Hypancistrus inspector or H. contradens with your description. They were thought to be the same species at one point as they are very similar, and the easiest way to tell them apart is H. inspector has a black seam along the caudal and dorsal fins. Easy to sex too.
