Wow, nice auranti's, when you put them in the species tank how long did it take for the bluish tint to become really pronounced like that?

awesome!!!!!

I am happy to have inspired you. Great pics Colin

I haven't used a flash for ages, Digital Camera's are great, The amount of pics that get deleted is very high. What camera are you using?

It's good to see them getting along, how big are they now?. I hope one of us has some success and I am looking forward to you future pics.

Cheers

hi mate , the blue is directly effected by tempreture , they are at 19 deg at the moment ( ambiant room temp ) . when i do a waterchange with cold water from tap it drops temp down to around 15-16 deg and they go even brighter , through summer they reach upto 29deg but do not seam to glow as much.

saying that even in the summer they are much bluer than when i kept one in a comm , i have also noticed that they also reduce colour when stressed , i.e if a dominant one chases one of the lesser ranking fish they loose the blue fairly quickly. i noticed this lot where a lot bluer than the single one i had within a couple of days after settling in , and they where put in in summer so temp diferance was no great.

hi mate , it is a nikon d40 , hardest thing is getting enough light into the tank , had to remove most of my water lettuce to get these shots light enough.

Stunning photos, mate! Hope all goes well with the breeding project!
