Insurance

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
no need to take your ray to a vet you have MFK which in some ways you can get more help than with a vet

unlike a dog that can get hit by a car or bit by another dog or even run away a ray can die from bad water you wont find anyone who will insure live stock but tank brakes may come under house insurance

with power cuts you have to be crazy not to have some kind of backup in place

you can have a geni or what i have a 240v inverter which is the same kind of thing the car boys have in the car to run PS3 or xbox

i have a 600w inverter with 4 big camping batterys along with a trickle charger to keep them charged

the batterys will run my tank at half pace for 8 hours much more for a normal size tank that runs less watts prob 10-12 hours

the good thing about this system is in noise from a geni and you can set it up to auto flick over if you get a power cut

when its all closed up you wouldnt know it was there

if the batterys run flat you can run a cable to your car and run it off that

pet insurance is mainly a scam. You'd be better off saving your money.

maybe in the US pet insurance maybe a con but in the UK its good i have had 2 shar-pei that both had skin and kidney problems

the insurance paid £5 per day for a pil for the skin and £5000 per year for the kidney problems they also paid out the £900 purchase price when the dog died before it was 7 years of age thats no con as i was only paying £49 per month

I once had an accident with a heater, came home and 12 fullgrown discus was dead, took pictures of them all on a meter, went to the pet store, got estimated price for them all and called the ensurance company. They were not really willing and said that they would cover the loss if the aquarium was broken. I just said that i have 2000 dollars of fish dead, and aquarium is worth 200, maybe i will have a accident with the aquarium while im cleaning my floors when we are done talking. I got it all back on ensurance, i think it was a one timer tho, and i really made a heck of a "brokenpaper" with pictures, info about the fish, links to places where they could read about the fish etc.. Had money the next week. The funny thing is that i probably paid 300 dollars for the fish private. And the estimate was store price.
