One of my exs was black, one hmong, one deaf, one heinz 57... I had to come out of the closet twice, once to tell everyone I am "heterosexually challenged" and the second time that my boyfriend was slightly darker than me... Luckily no one cared either way.

what he's really sayin is that genetically,it's not good to mix,because every race has a certain genetic code that should stay the same.He says inter-racial or *** couples are fine as long as they dont reproduce together,therefore causing problems for the offspring.

It's not racism either cuz he thinks every race is unique,and was created that way.

I think every culturally every race is very different. The way races in general do thing in their own homes etc are different.

Unless you absolutely love a person I don't think it should happen. To me, if your family is involved, it is just not worth it. Most cultures are just too different.

Same with my mexican aunt, but my grandparents are not fluent in english. At family gatherings she helps with a lot of things, my mom and aunts show her what to do when my grandparents want something done.

at first it was trippy seeing her tuav qaub (makeing papaya salad) and other foods. some of her dishes tastes better than other sister in laws who aren't white.

one of my sister is married to a black guy, like you said, the kids come out looking cute. my wife has a brother who has a daughter with a white girl and she is beautiful. they look white but with dark eyes.

and one of my aunts divorced and married a white guy, their son looks mexican

Didn't read through the whole thread, but just wanted to say, i'm eurasian, and the majority of girls i've dated were mixed, or full Chinese...

But in all honesty, I think if everyone was in an inter-racial relationship or of a mixed race racism would possibly die...

This is a great thread with interesting perspectives.

I'm first generation American my family on both sides came from Italy. My mother and father both came for the same area around Napoli. When I was younger I was dating a girl whos family was Ukrianian and my Grandmother was taking a fit. Nevermind interracial they didn't even like the idea of another country. I lived in a very thight nit and closed Italian community in Bayonne NJ across the river from Staten Island and Manhatten. They didn't even always get along among each other, the north didn't like the south, each area thought the other area was screwed up and didn't cook or speak correctly (each area had it's own dialect). 2nd and 3rd generations become farther removed and "Americanized" by the time the 4th generation grows up the only thing that's left is an Italian last name and their making tomato sauce from a jar........lol times change and things evolve it is what it is. I ended up marrying an Italian girl because outside the community the cultural differances were too great at that time and I wanted what I was used to, food, language, religion, customes, traditions, names of our children ect. I guess to some extent we are all just a product of our environment.
