If you had several of each species I'd say go for it, I've seen 4 4-5" added to a tank with a ~12" ornate and it was fine, there was also an albino sen and two palmas in there. But because its just one-on-one I think its going to end badly.

i myself gamble a lot on mixing small bichirs with my bigger ones, but for months now there have been no fatalities/injuries in doing so.

Me too, at one point I had a 13" congicus with 3" albinos.

But recently I tried adding my 5" dels with a 6" endli that I'm baby sitting for JerppyJerp and it almost ate them.

I just added a 5" albino sene and delhezi in my tank about 2 weeks ago and was worried. I have an ornate and 2 endlis that are a foot but they are doing well. I have 12 bichirs in my 120 and still awaiting 2 senes, another albino and delhezi to finish growing out.
I would of loved to wait a lil longer to add them and I don't want to give the impression thats it's good to add yours now but my growout tank was getting a little crammed.

for a person who gives feeders like me. those combos never work with lower jaws but have never happened to me with upper jaws.Right now I hvae a 4'' delhezi with a 13'' ornate but in another instance I mixed a 5'' Delhezi with a 7'' Endli my delhezi got eaten
