I hear a lot about people loving to look at their fish and observe them but out of curiosity how many of you out there actually interact with your fish? Like give them a pat or anything and do they seem to enjoy it or no?
i have never intentionally touched any of my fish...
i do however wiggle my finger at my puffer before i give him a snail... he knows what the finger wiggle means and he zooms around the tank for a before chomping the crap out of it..
i pet my jack dempsey once in awhile, he tolerates it for a second before he swims off. hes always at the front begging for food and greedily accepts food from hands and i always chat with him when he looks bored.
Some of my fish seem to like it.. I have to hand feed my full grown male frontosa because he doesnt know any better seems like when i reach in everyone crowds around my arm even tho they got fed. ehh makes catching them a lil easier
I am a fish um??? patter? lol my 2 16 and 20 inch barramundi seemed to absolutely love it but they have been brought up with my hand always in their tank and me talking to them since they were tiny.. they seem to love the feeling of my hand on them and r so playful and if i didnt pat them for a few days theyd get all cranky at me and not eat until i would. All started with them rubbing up against my my arm and 1 day i decided id stick my hand like a U shape but up the other way and they swam through and i patted them people tell me it might burn their skin but if i was hurting them they wouldnt rub up against my arm and hand im sure..
