Interacting with your fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I hand feed my BGK so when I put my hand in the tank he comes up and nuzzles the side of my hand with his head to let me know that he wants food NOW. I enjoy this as his head and muzzle, nose whatever you call it very soft to touch. Also has been know to rest in my hand after feeding which can be a problem if he stay their too long as my arm gets tired. Also my clown loaches will come up and sit in my hand while feeding. WC are a fun time as well as the BGK rubs up against my arm in the tank.

My pbass run away from my hand, but I think that I will eventually be able to pet my rtc

I had a goldfish that I petted everyday as a kid LOL

My Oscars and Murray Cod used to love being handled as soon as id place my hand in the tank they would come and rub on my hand the murray cod used to let my stroke its sides and just stay there in a trance

My murray goes into a trance when i pat him too, i don't know if he likes it but.

My oscar eats pellets off a spoon and chases the magnet when I clean the glass..

Can't say I've touched my fish. I've caught feeders with my hands before. I am trying to handfeed my poly he is still such a big baby tho. I have handfed my shrimp (both ghost and whiskers) it was pretty cool and a molly even came by and snagged a bite before deciding the hand was a scary scary thing.

lol I don't have any fish smart enough currently. I did have a SW setup with a clown trigger and picasso trigger that loved being petted. The petting stopped when I added two red volitans lionfish (150 gallon acrylic)
Lol...What would happen if you gut stung by a lionfish? I really don't know much about them at all.
