Hey, sup brah. I lived in Hawaii too. What city you from? I'm from Honolulu Oahu. You got any friend that sell asain Arowana let me know brah, like buy um.
It would be nice if the asian arowana were re evaluated and seperated or deemed not in danger and were then legalized in the states. I doubt any of this will happen ever.
It really doesnt matter anyway does it? Many people have them illegally already. Its probably why so many people want them anyway- because we cant legally have them.
Like above members stated, great read. I have heard of the luck superstition before, it is apparently a highly regarded aspect of the keeping of asian arowanas.
Good read, fingers crossed.....
10 years from now, I hope to have 3 300 gallons ready, first day its off CITES list.
I'm driving up to Canada and bring me home some aros, forget waiting to have it imported or mail order...... until then, happy keeping legal fish....
I forgot to mention, with China's middle class rising, the demand for these fish will still be HIGH. Until the Chinese can start breeding/manufacture like the do with everything, the chance of it getting off the CITES list is Slim.
