Does he look to anyone like he is not as "long" as pure JDs? Does he not look a little "Taller" than most JDs of his size?

Not rhetorical, I am not super familliar with JDs so I really want to know.

Thats exactly why I picked him out of the tank. He looked a little different from the rest of the young JDs in the tank.

I agree, some EBJD do have red on their dorsal fin. One of my females has it.

Probably just highly inbred. I saw this crazy deformed 10 inch jd at my lfs a few weeks back.
